Cossette mourns Menard

The unexpected death of Miville Menard, national VP group leader McDonald at Cossette Communication Marketing, has left the advertising agency emotionally shaken and created a significant gap in the three-man team overseeing the C$50-million McDonald's account. Menard worked for more than a decade on the McDonald's account at Cossette, rising to the position of national VP, the position that he held at the time of his death. His demise is expected to put more pressure on Jay Bertram, GM of Cossette Toronto.

Oglivy and Mather Canada Pres Brian Fetherstonhaugh gave up his post and moved to Oglivy and Mather New York in May 1997, to be the general manager and COO of the IBM Corp account. His job requires that he constantly travel around the globe to oversee about 1,050 people working on the $1.5- billion account. He says that his experience with Oglivey and Mather Canada helped him in running the IBM account.

Strickland takes Zellers VPM job
Article Abstract:
David Strickland has been appointed vice-president of marketing of Zellers, a division of the Hudson Bay Co, after leaving his post as vice- president of marketing at Markham, Ontario-based Enbridge Services. Strickland replaced Peter Housley who left the Zellers to become the CEO of IMG Interactive Media Group, a Toronto-based provider of Web and phone personals.
