Denmark: Analyst anticipates price war in retail trade
Article Abstract:
Problems faced by the retail trade to boost sales are expected to cause a price war in Denmark. Bruno Christensen, director of the Retail Institute Scandinavia and one of the leading retail trade researchers in Denmark, says the price war is expected to be a tough one. According to Christensen, retail stores may even go as far as to start the January sales in December. He says the retail trade has adopted a wait-and-see policy following the US terror attacks regarding consumer confidence.
