Denmark: Free papers no threat to traditional dailies
Article Abstract:
A survey conducted by analysis institute GfK for DSB S-Tog indicates that traditional dailies need not fear that the two free papers, Urban and MetroXpress, in Denmark will replace the traditional dailies. Instead, the free papers are viewed as supplements to traditional dailies. Many readers, irrespective of age, say the free papers can be used like a kind of reference book that provide a general overview of the daily news in a concentrated form. For a deeper insight the reader will have to turn to other papers.
