E-mag adopts ad results approach

Michael Smythe's e-business venture called mykidsbenefit.com aims to offer savings to businesses and provide income to its subscribers. The service is focused on an entirely customized e-magazine with a different approach to advertising. Advertisers pay only when a customer actually makes a purchase through mykidsbenefit.com. Each subscriber selects from more than 100 advertisers to set up shop in their personalized virtual store when they subscribe to the weekly e-magazine.

Draft's Miele travels for a living

Perry Miele spends 15 days each month traveling around the world, overseeing the operations of Draft Worlwide's 50 offices in 26 countries. As president of the company's international group, Miele spends the remaining 15 days in his native Canada, with his wife and 2 children, and in developing and coordinating Draft's acquisitions. He says his job requires him to visit all of Draft's offices on a regular basis, to help and support their various operations.

Pearce top choice for hotel chain

Mark Pearce has been promoted to VP of international sales and marketing for Choice Hotels International. He was formerly the VP of sales and marketing for Choice Hotels Canada. Pearce will take care of the marketing for Comfort, Quality, Clarion and Sleep hotels outside the US, including franchises in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, Germany and England. He will also coordinate the worldwide sales and marketing committee.
