EADS co-chief vows Airbus cuts despite pressure

Thomas Enders, co-CEO of EADS N.V., has declared that there may be layoffs and factory closures as a result of the restructuring of Airbus S.A.S. Manufacturing problems with the A380 superjumbo jet has led to the restructuring; d evelopment of the A350 XWB long-range jetliner is now the priority.

Airbus chief vows to stick to revamp, warns of job cuts

Airbus S.A.S. CEO Louis Gallois, who recently took over following the resignation of Christian Streiff, plans to carry out Mr. Streiff's restructuring plan, including job cuts. Mr. Gallois is also co-CEO of EADS, parent company of Airbus. Mr. Streiff resigned due to conflicts with EADS.
