Heavenly light
Article Abstract:
James Turrell is an artist who has been involved in the Roden Crater Project in Arizona. The project uses light as a means of expression and involves tunnels and chambers in a volcano in a desert location which is not contaminated by artificial light. Turrell has worked on the project since the 1970s and has also been involved in similar projects involving light. Both artificial and natural light are used in his work in locations which include the Hague, netherlands, and Jerusalem.

Those secular Spaniards
Article Abstract:
While Spain is still thought of as a strongly Catholic nation, its political leaders have resisted bowing to the wishes of the nation's Church. While Spaniards think of themselves as culturally Catholic they associate the Church's involvement in political issues with the fascist Franco regime.

Popular culture's heavenly glow: Spain's newly-fashionable Catholicism
Article Abstract:
Catholicism is undergoing a popular revival in Spain as its political influence has waned. Books, music, and even the Internet have become mediums for renewed interest in Catholicism. Stress caused by increasing economic prosperity may be contributing to renewed Catholicism.
