The electronic mail network at Microsoft Corp plays a significant and encompassing role in the company's operations, replacing the role formerly played by memos or even the telephone. Microsoft marketing executive Blas Garcia-Moros considers the Internet as his most valuable tool as he oversees marketing as regional director for South Asia. Garcia-Moros realizes the impersonal nature of electronic mail, but finds it easier to maintain professional relationships online. He qualifies, however, that the use of electronic mail requires discipline.

Good e-mail etiquette would make everyone a little more merry
Article Abstract:
Internet users are overcrowding the telecommunication lines with countless e-mail messages. E-mail is a blessing when used by responsible hands but it could be disastrous when irresponsible users send brutish and sinister messages. The problem gets worse with the increasing number of users in Asia and North America. To avoid the explosion of cybercholesterol, users should remember what is appropriate and inappropriate in using the e-mail.

Beware: no E-mail is safe from the eyes of strangers
Article Abstract:
Electronic-mail (e-mail) is a fast and convenient way of communicating with other people. However, e-mail users should realize that this particular means of communication is far from private. Systems managers can easily access and read e-mail messages even long after they were sent. Moreover, most countries' privacy laws do not prohibit companies from looking at e-mail employees write on its computers.
