How to best survive the region's airports: here's hoping you connect through Singapore, not Seoul or Bangkok
Article Abstract:
Singapore's Changi Airport was found to be the most efficient in an informal survey of six major Asian airports, including Bangkok, Thailand, Seoul, Korea, Tokyo, Japan, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Hong Kong. Bangkok International Airport was ranked as among the worst airports in the region, with its rundown appearance, noise, distractions and the lack of comforts and technical advances. Kuala Lumpur International Airport is a modern facility but is underutilized, while Korea's Kimpo Airport was rated the lowest when it comes to amenities for business travelers, although it is clean and functional. Tokyo's Narita Airport is crowded and dark, but is undergoing renovation. Hong Kong International Airport is efficiently run, offering numerous amenities to travelers such as Internet use and massage chairs.

Bearable layover at Changi: Singapore's airport offers ways to kill time
Article Abstract:
Singapore's Changi Airport is always rated as one of the best airports in the region due less to its many conveniences and amenities and more to its utilitarian and people-friendly layout. Widely considered as one of the city's best attractions, Changi offers passengers a wide array of things to do, from surfing the Internet at its cybercafes to having one's hair done at its beauty salons. It also has play areas for children, photo shops and full-service supermarkets. However, some passengers complain about its catering and the inconvenient location of its taverns in the main terminals.
