La poursuite de PCB vot e l'unanimit
Article Abstract:
PCB, the Belgian pharmaceutical distributor, posted losses in 1997 which cut it net assets to half of its capital stock. In Belgium, companies in this situation must call an extraordinary shareholders meeting. Seven shareholders met for this meeting, and they unanimously voted to continue the company's operations. The decrease in capital stock is due mainly to financing the losses related to diversification and the interest on its debts. Since then, the operations which are far removed from distribution have been stopped and the debt has been consolidated. Therefore the PCB's turnover rose 8% in the first five months of 1998, and stable results are expected overall.
