Imagination netted 6.3m pounds sterling for unused Dome interior

Design firm Imagination received 6.3 million pounds sterling from the UK Millennium Commission for work on the Millennium Dome scheme in Greenwich, London, England, according to the commission's accounts. The company's work, which covered the inside of the structure, may never be implemented. Its fees were much higher than those paid to architectural firm Richard Rogers Partnership, design engineer Buro Happold and consultant engineer W.S. Atkins.

Prescott to decide on 100 m pounds sterling Portsmouth project

Berkeley/Lordland has sought designs from six architects for the Millennium tower it is planning to building on the Gunwharf Quays site. John Prescott, environment and transport secretary, is to review the HGP Allchurch Evans masterplans, due to the large retail content. Gunwharf Quays will be one of the largest building projects in the country and includes factory outlet shopping, restaurants, leisure facilities and homes.

SOM tells Liverpool to 'build a Bilbao' in 2 billion pounds sterling plan

Liverpool Vision, the urban regeneration firm for Liverpool, England, has presented a 2 billion pounds sterling masterplan developed by SOM.
