Industry turns out for FNI's Fish Africa show

The fourth Fish Africa Total Fish & Marine Exhibition was held at Cape Town's International Convention Centre from October 29-31, 2004. The exhibitors included Ice Systems AS, which supplied the Cold Star Smart Ice Concept machines to Staltor, now a part of South African fresh fish hake fleet, and Pertec, a distributor of top-grade electronics from Scanmar, MaxSea, Serpe-Iesm, etc. Exhibitors like Irish pot Company, P J Quill and South Africa based Marine Radio Acoustic Devices CC (MRAC) recorded handsome sales at the exhibiton.

Quota awards start in South Africa
Article Abstract:
A report on Fish Africa 2005, a fisheries trade show that was held in Cape Town from October 26 to 28 is discussed. Local fisheries will however absorb the impact of the trade show after the allocations of long-term quotas. South Africa will be completing the quota allocation process by end of December 2005.
