Space agencies in Japan aiming for moon missions

The Japanese National Space and Aeronautics Development Agency and the Institute for Space Astronautical Science are considering the development of several joint lunar missions. The joint missions will involve the launch of several lunar remote sensing craft, followed by the landing of lunar rovers and several lunar sampling craft. Both agencies hope to improve the H-2 launch vehicle which they intend to use in the lunar missions.

Accident raises fears about safety of Monju reactor
