Japan urgently needs rapid expansion of open mergers and acquisitions to gain financial fuel
Article Abstract:
Japan needs enhanced corporate control in order to gain prompt and sustained recovery. Sans these reforms, the blatant misapportionment of funds will remain and the recovery will continue to disintegrate. Japan should alter the securities regulations in order to allow acquirers to pay a so-called control premium. The Japanese government should also form a section of the tax code that permits tax-free procedure in all so-called stock swap or pooling deals.

New Asian economic model must be grounded in reality
Article Abstract:
Asia's economic model in the aftermath of the currency turmoil should be based on tried and tested economic concepts and not the concepts that Asian businesses grew on. This would require capital cost advantage to be determined by market performance and not saturation by using long-term and short term loans. Furthermore, Labor cost advantage should come from increased productivity and not additional personnel.
