Foiling the forgers
Article Abstract:
The Swiss company Sicpa is the world's leader in security inks which are used to foil money counterfeiters. One refinement which Sicpa has introduced is its Optically Variable Ink. Used in printing Swiss franc notes and the latest US $50 and $100 bills, the inks enable the bills to shift color when viewed from different angles. Aside from printing money, Sicpa is studying the potential of its specialty inks being used in protecting branded goods.
