Made in America
Article Abstract:
The US exports its retail culture, a situation reflected in the major Wal-Mart Stores' outlet in Shenzhen, China. However Londonsun, a local firm, has filed a suit against Wal-Mart after it purchased 100 hi-fi sets from the superstore that were stamped 'Made in USA'. Londonsun claims they were manufactured in Shenzhen, but Wall-Mart has defended the labelling saying that the hi-fi sets were only assembled in China. Londonsun may be able to use a section of the Consumer Protection Law which is aimed at fake products, and would be able to claim refund and compensation.
