Moderne, but stately
Article Abstract:
Eltham Palace, London, England, has been assigned to English Heritage, which, along with the National Trust, plays a role in conserving historic buildings in England. The palace was a royal residence in the days of Henry Vlll, and it was maintained by the Courtauld family as a condition of their being allowed to erect a new building. Funds from the National Lottery have been provided to help with restoration, but there has been little spare for objects, so the contents of the palace appear sparse.
