Equity issue for Australia's Olympic stadium on track
Article Abstract:
Building work is soon expected to begin on a new, A$600 million, 110,000 seat Olympic stadium in New South Wales, Australia. The build-own-operate site, being constructed by a consortium led by Multiplex Constructions and Hambros Australia, is being funded through a A$364 million public equity issue. It is expected that the stadium, together with an Olympic Village and a new rail link, will be completed in March 1999.

PRIME real estate: a case study

The United Kingdom government is to sell public property valuing four billion pounds sterling through the Private Sector Resource Initiative for the Management of the Estate programme. Properties all over the country currently managed by the Department of Social Security (DSS) will be sold to the property consortium Partnership Property Management, thus freeing up the DSS to focus on key objectives.
