RBS taps Crowe to direct ABN merger

Brian Crowe will leave his position as global banking chief executive at Royal Bank of Scotland PLC to assume his new role on the management board of ABN AMRO Holding N.V. in order to direct the integration process. RBS led a consortium that included Spain 's Banco Santander S.A. and Belgium 's Fortis N.V. in a successful bid to acquire ABN for $99 bil.
