Remember, remember
Article Abstract:
William Faulkner has been seen as a modern author, yet post-modernists argue that he can be seen as post-modern, a term that is not easy to define. Faulkner valued low culture and used unconventional narrators, yet he did seek universal truths, which means that there are arguments against describing him as post-modern. The inner monologues of his characters are important in giving them meaning and depth, and this means that it is not easy to make motion pictures of his works.
