Russian aluminium sale
Article Abstract:
Russia is to sell 8.85% the country's fourth-largest aluminium plant, Sayansk Aluminium, in a special cash auction. The Federal Stock Corp, the sale co-ordinator, and the Russian Federal Property Fund, the official seller, said bids would be accepted from February 26 to March 24 for 1.06m ordinary shares with a Rbs0.25 face value each at a starting price of Rbs140 per share.

Article Abstract:
Several individuals have been responsible for privatization programs throughout the world. Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Boshkov introduced a privatization program in 1992 that has not resulted in much action throughout 1998. Brazil Pres Fernando Henrique Cardoso has worked hard to re-initiate his country's privatization program during difficult economic times.

Bulgaria lowers expectations
Article Abstract:
Bulgaria expects revenues from privatization to be lower in 1999 due to the global economic crisis. The lack of monetary and credit resources and the lack of excellent companies are a concern for the Privatization Agency. The most difficult companies are the bulk of the remaining companies that are available for privatization.
