Share of Wellington sold
Article Abstract:
New Zealand Airports has bought the 66% government interest in the Wellington, New Zealand, airport, the country's busiest, for $49.6 million. New Zealand Airports is owned by the company Infratil. The other 34% of the airport is owned by Wellington City Council, which does not have any plan of selling. The sale of the 66% interest has been a big political issue in the country. The UK's BAA had been one of the early buyers but withdrew its offer, saying that political uncertainty remains in the country's government and the city council holding.

Safe hands
Article Abstract:
The Aristotle Corp has acquired an 80% stake in Safe Passage International, thus leaving the existing management with 20% interest in the US-based provider of aviation-related computer-based training products. Safe Passage Pres James Viscardi welcomes Aristotle's acquisition of majority interest as this injected fresh financial resources to the company, which would finance its move to exploit growth opportunities in the simulation and training market.
