Danka UK has withdrawn from a bid for Southern Business Group following a rival bid by Alco Standard. Both Danka and Southern Business are photocopier distributors. Danka had valued Southern business at 68 million pounds sterling with a bid of 70p per share, while Alco had valued the company at 81 million pounds with a bid of 84p per share. Danka already held a 10% stake in Southern. Danka has also sponsored a horse which won the UK Grand national race.

Shenzhen-CIMC TianDa Airport Support of China has developed an aicraft visual guidance docking system that conforms to IATA, IEC and ICAO standards. Designated FG23101, the system consists of a display board attached to the building. The board has three lines of LED lights, with the green light in between two red lights. Pilots should be able to see the green light when properly taxiing in the aircraft.
