Space-age soot
Article Abstract:
Hydrogen has come to be seen as a useful potential fuel, and this follows developments in the fuel cell industry. There are questions relating to the storage of the fuel, and carbon is seen as providing a possible answer. Carbon nanomaterials have been found to have potential for hydrogen storage. Research is being carried out in this area at Northeastern University, Boston, by Nelly Rodriguez, though her work has led to controversy and some scepticism.

Unbuckling the Kuiper belt: beyond the orbit of Pluto lies one of the most mysterious regions of space. But it is starting to yield its secrets
Article Abstract:
The Kuiper belt is the name of the region of space that lies beyond Pluto and it contains much debris left from the formation of the universe. Researchers now believe the region is the origin of comets, and that Pluto is part of the debris, which may be characterized by being covered with frozen methane.
