TTR signs distribution pact

TTR Inc., a New York-based software company, announced that it had signed an exclusive distribution pact with the Chinese government to supply anti-piracy software technology to Chinese makers and developers of compact disk-read only memory. Under the agreement, China Intercontinental Communication Center, a leading distributor of a wide range of products in China, will be TTR's exclusive distributor in China. China will also be responsible in endorsing TTR's DisGuard technology to Chinese firms, while TTR will be China's main supplier of anti-piracy software. TTR expects to gain a huge revenue base with its deal with supplier deal with the Chinese government.

Consultancy to change name

Brooke Hillier Parker, an Asian property consultancy based in Hong Kong, will come out with another name within the next two months as the company terminates its alliance with London, UK-based commercial-property services company Hillier Parker May & Rowden. Brooke Hillier and an Australian property services firm were awarded the license to use the Hillier Parker name by Hillier Parker May under an official business partnership. Hillier Parker May has been acquired by real-estate services concern CB Richard Ellis for $70.1 million in cash and stock plus assumption of debts, a deal that does not involved the Hong Kong company.

Disneyland's two kingdoms; Tokyo isn't threatened by Hong Kong's plans

This article discusses Hong Kong's plans to open a new Disney theme park early next century, and how Oriental Land Co., the operators of Tokyo Disneyland, have no intentions of interfering with it. Tokyo Disneyland has the largest visitor volume of any Disney theme park, but visitors from both Japan and the Asian region outside of Japan account for only 3% to 4% of total visitors to the Japanese park.
