Telefonica's profit jumps 40%

Telefonica S.A. of Spain posted a soaring 40 percent increase in net profit for the first quarter to 1.27 billion Euros ($1.64 billion) from 912.2 million Euros last year. Revenues were buoyed by integration of current large acquisitions and increased market share for the internet service provider operator.
