The ITT class of '86
Article Abstract:
Many former ITT Europe top executives who left the company after ITT sold its central business in Europe are finding their rigorous management training at ITT helpful in preparing them for positions at new companies. ITT Europe ex-president Gerhard Andlinger now heads a leveraged buyout firm with a staff composed mostly of former ITT executives. He uses the same acquisition strategy he learned at ITT, aggressively searching for companies that are undervalued due to out-of-date management systems. Other top ITT executives found the ITT environment of high stress, demanding hours, and global mobility has groomed them into dynamic leaders and generalists who can take on new challenges in a hurry.

Degrees of world class
Article Abstract:
The globalization of trade and industry demands that business schools reflect the market they aim to serve. Business schools all over the world are striving to be international, but only a handful of European colleges are expected to be truly successful. To effectively expand the perspective of business schools beyond a local or national focus, the schools must be able to recruit an impressive international staff that can attract a multicultural group of students, and offer a wide variety of courses, from executive programmes to MBA programs, that are well designed and distinct. This can be a very expensive project, so funding from corporate and individual sponsors might be necessary.
