The changing structure of the Nordic private equity market
Article Abstract:
There has been an increase in the amount of capita; available for private equity investment in Scandinavia, in addition to a rise in the number of providers. In Sweden a scheme to allow labor unions to invest has helped the development of risk-capital firms. The Swedish government is also a provider of funds. The Norwegian market is characterised by stability, as is the Finnish market. The number of deals has risen in Scandinavia as has the size of transactions.
