CITY UNION BANK TO LAUNCH Rs21-CR ISSUE ON JUNE 22

The City Union Bank of Kumbakonam is floating a public issue of 60 lakh shares at Rs35 per share aggregating Rs21 crore on June 22, 1998. The issue closes on June 27, 1998. The bank plans to increase its capital adequacy ratio from 11.73 percent. It has 10,962 shareholders. Its deposits amount to Rs1,000 crore and advances Rs573 crore. Its return on net worth is 29.12 percent and its earnings per share is Rs20.57. (rk)
