Article Abstract:
The market for digital video discs (DVD) is slowly gaining recognition as the latest in the video equipment industry. DVDs boast of excellent audio and picture quality compared to the regular video CDs and other types of compact discs. Moreover, the system also has random-access capability and is able to store as much as 2 hours of video information. The format was developed in 1995 by various electronic firms such as Toshiba Corp, Sony Corp and Royal Philips Electronics NV and was commercially introduced in Hong Kong in 1997. Prices of DVDs have been greatly reduced by as much as 40% to 50% from its introductory price.

Article Abstract:
Majority of the Class-H-share companies are focused on earning more profits and drawing investors through acquisitions with other companies, despite an ailing economy. However, analysts deemed it inexpedient since, only a few of the acquisitions will boost profits quickly or even bring profits down in weaker industries. Class-H-share companies that are planning to acquire other companies include Guangdong Kelon Electrical Holdings Ltd, First Tractor Co, China Shipping Development Co, and Shanghai Petrochemical Co.
