Commerce International Merchant Bankers Bhd, a subsidiary of Commerce Asset Holdings Inc., is one of the most prominent and successful Malaysian merchant banks, offering a comprehensive package of financial services in the merchant banking sector. Through it has a huge presence in the domestic market, Commerce International Merchant Bankers has yet to create a credible presence in the foreign markets.

The Bank of East Asia Ltd. (BEA) is the biggest independent Chinese bank headquartered in Hong Kong. Since 1979, when it introduced a credit card in a a joint venture with the Bank of China, BEA has constantly been at the vanguard of expanding business on the Chinese mainland. BEA plans to use its excellent connections with the Chinese government to exploit opportunities on the mainland.

Approximately 50% of Rabobank Nederland's foreign loan customers are in the agricultural industry, and agribusiness is a growing field for the Dutch bank. In the US, agribusiness represents 70% of Rabobank's loan volume. Rabobank, which has $184 billion in assets, is helping to finance the development of the Chinese agricultural and food sectors.
