Article Abstract:

McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $245,062,237 ceiling-priced letter contract for Harpoon weapon system production requirements, including 217 Harpoon missiles, four ballistic air test vehicles, nine launch kits, five midcourse guidance units, six guidance sections, four sustainer sections, four booster sections, two exercise sections, nine booster kit assemblies, and 159 containers. This contract involves purchases for the governments of Egypt (33.2%), Taiwan (24.2%), Turkey (15.8%), Israel (8.8%), Korea (7.3%), Canada (6%), the United Arab Emirates (4.1%), Spain (.4%), and Germany (.2%), under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Work will be performed in St. Charles, Mo. (30%); McKinney, Texas (24%); Toledo, Ohio (9%); Clearwater, Fla. (7%); Huntsville, Ala. (3%); Elkton, Md. (2%); and various other contractor facilities (25%), and is expected to be completed June 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-99-C-1054).

Raytheon Co., Raytheon Systems Co., Sudbury, Mass., is being awarded a $11,292,000 fixed-price-incentive-fee letter contract for the procurement of MK 57 Rearchitecture NATO Seasparrow Surface Missile System (RNSSMS) ship sets and MK 57 RNSSMS spares for the NATO Seasparrow Program Office. Work will be performed in Sudbury, Mass. (90%), and Portsmouth, R.I. (10%), and is expected to be completed in August 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00024-99-C-5414).
