Great White Marine and Recreation Inc has terminated its operations while it tries to address financial problems and a stock fraud suit. The Waco, TX-based boat builder has already sold some of its yachts to pay its debts amounting to about $2 million. It is also trying to settle a lawsuit against its former president who allegedly defrauded the government and investors by distributing unregistered shares of its stocks.

Logic Marine Corp has been acquired by Genmar Holdings Inc of Minneapolis, MN, in mid-May 1999, for an undisclosed amount. The purchase is expected to be beneficial for Logic, which has been searching for additional capitalization as well as marketing muscle. Genmar, which has been on the lookout for new boatbuilding technology, will gain access to Logic's environment friendly process that is touted to be capble of producing almost indestructible boats.
