An audience with the stones
Article Abstract:
Developmental genetics and palaeontology are not as remote as they initially seem, according to Per Ahlberg, of the Natural History Museum in London, England. He believes that both disciplines address the emergence of form. He feels that the study of how modern animals progress from embryo to adult will give an insight into the biological mechanisms on which the evolutionary change in these animals' ancestors was based. He hopes to be able to establish an interdisciplinary evolution and development group at the Natural History Museum.
