Biological mazes hide cure for cancer
Article Abstract:
Tim Hunt, winner of the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 2001 along with Lee Hartwell and Paul Nurse, looks back at his achievements in the realm of cell cycle and cancer research and looks forward to where his work will take him. He notes that the trouble with cancer cells is that they have no problem with growing and dividing and that what we need to understand if we are to combat the disease are the chemicals and signals that keep cancer cells growing when normal cells would stop, thereby providing us with a way to cure cancer.

Feed back as a way to go forward
Article Abstract:
Issues relating to the actual usefulness of traditional written comments on assignments from lecturers to students are examined in the light of research done at Staffordshire University. The research reveals that students value the feedback that they receive on assignments and use it in a variety of ways, cross-referencing it with feedback on other assignments and even sharing it with friends in order to assess how each other had done.
