Article Abstract:
The School of Geography in Leeds University is launching the United Kingdom's first masters degree in activism and social change in September 2007. Although academics are confident of teaching students about examples of various forms of activism leading to social change such as Che Guevara and mobilizations around G8 summits, it remains to be seen whether activism can be effectively taught at universities.
