Enter the Second Republic?
Article Abstract:
India has succeeded in preserving its territorial integrity and maintaining parliamentary democracy based on universal adult franchise since it became a sovereign democratic republic on Jan. 26, 1950, but, 47 years on, political strains necessitate constitutional change. Elections have become more frequent, the number of regional parties has grown and the use of president's rule has become more common. India's constitution needs amendment to cater for a democratic system that has become considerably more pluralistic and participative in the years since it was framed.

...believe it's time to devise new ways of categorising modern scholars
Article Abstract:
None of the boundaries traditionally used to divide scholars into categories make sense, with the borders between cognate disciplines dissolving and hybrid fields routinely drawing together academics and scientists from a variety of once disparate fields. It is argued that as a result of this blurring of the boundaries, new ways need to be devised to categorise modern scholars.
