Help students who fail exams
Article Abstract:
Lecturers who have to deal with students who have failed an examination must consider their responsibilities to the standards in their subject, as a human being, as an educationist and to other students taking examinations. They must seek a balance between realism and compassion, avoiding personal comments about the student's abilities. They must ensure that they are fully aware of the nature and extent of failure, and must take time to listen to the student's views.
