Some argue that international conferences are culturally and economically important to the host nations, but others contend that encouraging air travel to such locations is environmentally irresponsible. Organisers of conferences in exotic locations are having to deal with this issue as more and more of those invited to attend conferences are expressing their concern about the ethical issues involved.

Advice for university teachers and lecturers on how to teach students from a range of cultural backgrounds without becoming obsessed with being "politically correct".
