University staff could shift sectors if collegs win validation powers
Article Abstract:
A move to provide colleges with the power to validate their own foundation degrees could result in a migration of university lecturers to further education institutions, according to claims. College heads want the government to take the initial steps towards allowing further education colleges which run a large number of higher education courses to apply for foundation degree validation powers in the forthcoming Further Education Bill.
