Good dress sense--and poor pay--are in fashion
Article Abstract:
An analysis of how the meaning of the word "skill" has changed in the modern work environment in the UK. It is contended that whereas in the past, skills were technical abilities that could be learnt, employers are increasingly attributing the word skill to character traits such as motivation, leadership ability, deportment or dress sense and often deem the ability to work long hours at low pay as a skill.

Outdoor life with a growing legacy
Article Abstract:
An overview of the work done by the National School of Forestry, which was established in 1965 in order to help address a skills shortage in the forestry sector. The school offers a variety of full and part-time higher and further education courses dealing with a variety of subjects relating to forestry.
