Murder by Media
Article Abstract:
Inflexible, routine, predictable use of media can cause students to be bored and lose attention. Negative associations can become connected with various media; but this can be countered by providing a variety of tools for a variety of teaching experiences. This variety can cause students to become enthusiastic about the learning process. A media checklist, a good self-evaluation tool, is described and illustrated. It helps determine patterns of media use, and predicts associations being set up in students.
