Article Abstract:
As Walt Disney closes in on its centenary mark, the effects of its founder's simplistic world view on American culture are noted. It is suggested that Disney's sacrificing of historical accuracy in its storytelling, its use of foreign stereotypes as villains while portraying white people as heroes, and its naive depictions of male-female relationships have created a national self image that is detached from world realities, shocked by terrorism, and historically ignorant.

Article Abstract:
Issues relating to student pranks and what is deemed acceptable and what is unacceptable are examined in the light of the publication of "Nightwork", an 11-point statement codifying the ethics of student pranks, by T.F. Peterson. Amongst the rules laid down in Nightwork are that no clue to the prankster's identity should be left, no permanent damage should be done to college structures and no one's life should be put in jeopardy.
