Playthings of a higher mind
Article Abstract:
Issues relating to the hypothesis that we all exist in a virtual reality simulated in a computer constructed by an advanced civilisation are examined. It is argued that if we are living in a simulation, then unless the creators want us to become aware of this fact, it is unlikely that we ever will, and that if we ever reach the point where we are about to switch on our own simulations, then this would be very strong evidence that we are almost certainly in a simulation.

Article Abstract:
Ideology is too often allowed to skew the debate on human behaviour, rendering the science suspect. A return to rigorous inquiry is needed to reverse the trend.
