Red Planet probe propels UK space into the black
Article Abstract:
Issues relating to the state of space science in the United Kingdom are examined in the light of the British-built Beagle 2 mission to Mars, which is due to take off on 02 June 2003 from Kazakhstan as part of the European Space Agency's Mars Express mission. The Beagle 2 is due to touch down on Mars on 26 December 2003 and, after calibrating its instruments, begin searching for signs of life beneath rocks in its immediate vicinity.

Article Abstract:
An analysis of the honour's system in the United Kingdom, whereby people who achieved something in their field are recognised by the country. It is argued that such awards, even if you love them or hate them, show that people are being taken seriously, even if they often have to wait until they retire to get them.

It is contended that, the improved accuracy of the new table combines with the addition of new information to make the ranking the best guide to the world's universities.
