Article Abstract:
It is difficult to explain disease as abnormalities are not the products of natural selection, although scientists over the past 10 years believe an evolutionary explantion can be sought for why the body is susceptible to disease. Significant contributions to Darwinian medicine include the increase capaicity to distinguish diseases from defences such as coughs and fevers which have evolved to protect the body.

Article Abstract:
The Michael Medved book 'Hollywood vs. America' has reopened the debate on sex and violence in films, and whether they deprave and corrupt their audience. Medved suggests that film makers should show more positive sides to the family, marriage and religion than they portray at present. He feels that the public should lobby those in the film industry to bring these changes about.

Article Abstract:
The professor of history at Exeter University attempts to identify what the deciding factors are in winning a war. It is argued that superior firepower is just one of the elements that go towards determining which side will win a war and that social, geographic, religious and political aspects also play their part.
