Soundfield One: First DBX Speakers

Engineers and marketers spent eight years of research and two years of hardware development to bring Soundfield One to market. Soundfield one is a speaker system with two speakers and a controller that will retail for $2500. The system will handle up to 300 watts per channel and offers proper tone balance, convincing stereo imaging and complete dynamic range.

Electronic Distribution: Retailing Shortcut or Terminal Short Circuit?
Article Abstract:
At the 1984 Winter CES there were a number of companies entering the electronic software distribution market. As a result of the drop in software sales, some of these companies have dropped out of the market. Some of the problems with the distribution method were large initial investments required of retailers and packaging and documentation distribution.
