EPA extends "7-year-MACT" permit deadline
Article Abstract:
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has extended the permit application deadline to Dec 15, 1999, for industrial sources of hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) in the '7-year source categories' for which the agency has not yet published standards. The extension is included in EPA's final revisions to a rule governing permits for HAPs. The revisions also eliminate the need for the abovementioned industrial sources to submit to the agency a permit application for a case-by-case emissions limit determination.
