Article Abstract:

A study conducted on team archetypes to analyze aspects such as their latent structures and the attitudes of people to team work revealed that each team member required personal goals and rewards to put in their maximum effort, and experiences with team work differed from one individual to another. Forces in the American culture worked against certain attributes essential for team work. Some members associated apprehension with team work due to bad experiences in the past or due to the fear of letting their team down.
