Catastrophe options: an experiment in the management of catastrophic risk in the United States
Article Abstract:
The article examines the methods used to assess risk in the US insurance industry, and their effects on the performance of investment options and bonds tied to that market. Results show that catastrophe options that allow a wide range of risk sharing at market-based prices perform the best.

Probe into the method of regional ecological risk assessment-a case study of wetland in the Yellow River Delta in China
Article Abstract:
A new field of study, Ecological risk assessment (ERA), is proposed for evaluating the risks associated with a possible eco-environmental hazard under uncertainty. A five-step process of regional ERA is examined using a wetland case study in the Yellow River Delta in China.
