Reindeer in the Swedish mountains: an assessment of grazing impacts
Article Abstract:
The Swedish mountains have been a reason for concern for the Swedish reindeer husbandry, which may not be sustained due to overgrazing in the mountain areas, causing degradation of the vegetation. A comparison of the grazing effects in the various regions is discussed and it is seen that strong grazing and trampling effects may be found around enclosures and fences.
